Jewellery and watch care

Aftercare isn’t just an afterthought at Loupe.

What cleaning services do you offer?

We offer a complimentary deep clean, polish and inspection any time for all pieces purchased from Loupe.

Can you clean non-Loupe jewellery and is there a charge?

We would need to see your piece in one of our boutiques first, to ensure we have the necessary cleaning equipment and facilities to help.

Our boutique colleagues will provide their professional opinion and advice on a charge depending on what service is required.

How can I care for my watch at home?

We provide specific aftercare information on your watch in our boutiques, which we would recommend applying after you’ve taken it home to keep it looking great for as long as possible.

Why does my white gold jewellery have a yellow hue?

White gold naturally has a yellow hue; white gold is in fact created by alloying yellow gold with metals such as palladium and platinum to brighten the colour. If your white gold piece does start to yellow, we offer free replating upto 12 months after your purchase.

What should I do if my white gold jewellery has started to change colour?

This is nothing to be concerned about and is a natural characteristic of white gold, yellow gold is alloyed with metals such as palladium and platinum to brighten the colour.

The bright white sheen is then achieved by rhodium coating the ring, which is part of the platinum family. We offer free replating upto 12 months after your purchase.

How long does plating last?

There is no definitive timeframe when it comes to plating wearing down.

Longevity can vastly depend on what your product is coming into contact with and we would recommend keeping it away from liquids, especially abrasive substances such as perfume, lotions, household cleaning products and hairspray.
