Three questions with…
Nick Bucknell
Loupe Head of Retail & Operations
Q. What makes Watches & Wonders the biggest event in the world of horology?
A. “It’s an amazing occasion where you have the vast majority of the world’s leading watch houses all under one roof. Each of them demonstrates their very latest horological developments and innovations in materials. What we’re seeing generally each year is that everything is continuously improving in quality and performance. It’s such an exciting time to see everything together all under one roof.”
Q. Is there anything you’d like to see from the brands this year?
A. “In recent years we have seen some fantastic developments in materials and some beautiful use of colour. The general standards are so high already, I am very excited to see how the materials, precious metals, innovations, and colour are worked together to give us combinations we haven’t seen before.”
Q. Which timepiece will be adorning your wrist during the event?
A. "A Rolex Submariner Date in Oystersteel and yellow gold."

Tudor Black Bay 58 18K
Meet the daring new iteration of the TUDOR Black Bay collection, this Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Automatic 18ct Gold Watch is the very first TUDOR diver’s watch to be crafted in 18ct gold. Packed with all the Black Bay features we adore, from the iconic ‘snowflake’ hands (a nod to the TUDOR watches used by the French National Navy in the 1970s) to the shoulderless crown and uniquely designed 39mm case, the Black Bay 58 18K exudes function and reliability. We can’t decide what we love more: the manufacture calibre MT5402 (COSC) powering each beat of this mighty watch or the 18ct gold case. We’ll let you decide.
