Hello Oshane and congratulations on your promotion to Loupe Croydon Boutique Manager. Why don’t you tell us about your journey to now?
"Working with luxury watches is something I’ve always been keen to do, but I knew I had to prove myself. I started by leading an OMEGA boutique to a successful position and building a team of experts. When I heard Loupe was coming to Croydon (my hometown), I was very keen to join the team and I was approached for the position of a Deputy Boutique Manager. A year down the line and I’ve worked hard to become the Boutique Manager – and oh what a wonderful time in my life!"
What do you love most about your role?
"I love being part of our clients' big life moments, nothing can beat the feeling of seeing someone buying their first luxury watch, or a special piece for someone they love. I also love being a role model for my team. Inspiring someone to be a better version of themselves is what it’s about."
So, what is that makes Loupe so unique?
"Loupe is unique as we have the human touch. For me looking after our clients and thinking about how to make their experience outstanding is the best part of our role, but this also feeds through to everything we do in the boutique. From our private consultation spaces and expertise, even down to their choice of drink, we know how to treat our clients like the VIPs they are."
If you were a Loupe collection, which would you be and why?
"I’d have to be a Loupe Icon as I’m a firm believer that one day I will become an icon myself!"
What is your most sentimental piece (of jewellery or watch)?
"My most sentimental piece of jewellery must be my OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300, I bought it just after I got my promotion to Assistant Manager. I love the colour combination and how the gold marries with the black, it’s my favourite one but maybe I’m due a new watch now I have been promoted to Boutique Manager."
And what about the piece that’s at the top of your Loupe wish-list?
"The Loupe piece that’s at the top of my wish list has got to be from the Loupe Iris collection, there is a beautiful opal and diamond earring set in gold. I think my mum would absolutely love them and I will be giving them to her as a gift."
What are three things you can’t live without?
"A bathrobe, the beach and the gym."
Where is your favourite travel destination?
"My favourite travel destination has to be Jamaica. I was born there but when I go back, I don’t just stay with the family, I try to stay at a hotel and experience more of the country that I wouldn’t see otherwise."
