So Chloe, tell us about your journey to becoming Diamond Buyer for Loupe.

"As the fourth generation of family-owned jewellers Beaverbrooks my whole life has been surrounded by jewellery which I’ve always loved. I’m fascinated by how you can adorn yourself with stunning diamonds or gemstones and instantly fall in love with them.

After University, I interned for a jewellery supplier in Hong Kong – it was there my fascination grew and I decided that I wanted to study gemology. I then graduated from the Gemological Institute of America as a GIA Graduate Gemologist in both diamonds and coloured stones, but it was working for Beaverbrooks where I really learnt about the nuances of diamond buying. And it was there that my passion for buying diamonds started."

What do you love most about your role as Loupe Diamond Buyer?

"There’s nothing quite like curating collections; we get to travel the world to find the perfect pieces and hand-select each and every one. We look for those unique designs and pieces that complement our collections and there’s no better feeling than finding jewellery that we know our clients are going to love."

"Luxurious, sophisticated, and contemporary."

What’s the proudest moment of your career so far?

"Well, it’s got to be the launch of the Loupe brand in June 2022, of course. So much time and consideration was put into finding pieces that are each so uniquely captivating."

Where is your favourite travel destination?

"We went to the Maldives for our honeymoon and it was the most serene place I’ve ever been. There was no schedule, no shoes and the most beautiful sunsets, you just felt like a tiny person surrounded by miles of natural beauty. I cried for hours the day we were leaving. It really was the most romantic place on earth."
