Big Bang: MP-11 Water Blue Sapphire
Hublot has made waves (pun intended) this year with a new interpretation of the Big Bang MP-11, first released at Baselworld 2018. Available in an eye-catching water blue sapphire for the very first time, who knew dopamine dressing could be so blue and translucent?
This shade of blue is a result of a custom chemical formula and exclusive transparency index that took years in the making giving it all the properties we love in sapphire (brilliant, radiant, flawlessly unchangeable, and completely impervious to impact) but with a whole new perspective - the watchmaker is truly riding the wave of innovation with this one.
A range known for the most daring aesthetic interpretations, six years on the 2024 edition of the MP-11 pushes the boundaries even more with the Hublot HUB9011 manual winding calibre reigning supreme. With 270 meticulously designed components and an index-assembly system featuring a silicon escapement, this timepiece is a true testament to what Hublot is all about- groundbreaking craftsmanship and technical prowess, of course. But wait, there's more – an astounding power reserve of two weeks (or 336 hours to be exact) means you’ll always be timely. We’ve all got places to be and people to see, after all.
A transparent 45mm skeleton dial proudly displays the 7-barrel movement, with the 90° transmission and balance elegantly placed for all to marvel at. And let's not forget about the power reserve indicator ticking away above the barrels, completing its graceful rotation every two weeks. Beneath the cool aesthetic is a water resistance of 30m and Hublot's signature 'One-Click' strap system, making it perfect for strapping on for your weekend plans.
"The uniqueness of Hublot – a fully integrated Manufacture – lies in its technical excellence in terms of both its movements and its exterior. R&D is at the heart of our DNA, and each MP, shaped by our profoundly innovative approach, is an opportunity for us to test new sapphires that may later become part of our regular collections. Our MPs are a laboratory, an exploration of what the watchmaking of tomorrow might look like today". - Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot CEO.
Big Bang Unico: Orange Ceramic
Hublot's latest release of the Big Bang Unico is a wearable take on the orange fashion trend, and we're here for it (and not just because it’s our favourite colour). Building on Hublot's previous foray into bold colours back in 2019 it showcased a stunning orange hue - creating this vibrant aesthetic is a true work of art, resulting in a stunning mirror-polished finish that is as durable as it is eye-catching. With a stroke of perfectly uniform colour on the counters, hands, and lined black and orange rubber strap, too, this Big Bang Unico makes for a zesty statement, indeed.
From the patented "One-Click" strap change system to the exquisite dial detail, every aspect of this 42mm timepiece is a testament to Hublot's dedication to excellence and is evident in every detail. But it's not just about the bold colour – the UNICO Chronograph Manufacture calibre inside this beauty is a powerhouse with a three day power reserve and a distinctive column wheel design at 6 o'clock mastering the art of blending high technology with traditional watchmaking savoir-faire. Limited to a mere 250 pieces, if you delight in sunset shades on your wrist you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled for this limited edition Big Bang Unico.
And that’s not all, with two more impressive variations it seems dopamine-inducing watches are having a major moment for Hublot (yet again) with one in Dark Green Ceramic and the other in Polished Pink Sapphire. The Big Bang Unico Dark Green Ceramic features a 42mm ceramic case with a matching green ceramic bezel and signature skeletonised dial with 6 H shapes of black-plated Titanium screw - a sophisticated addition to their lineup.
As for the Big Bang Unico Pink Sapphire, forget seeing the world through rose-tinted glasses, see it through this timepiece instead. With its polished pink sapphire crystal case and sleek self-winding chronograph movement as well as those pink transparent lined rubber straps – it’s giving Barbiecore at its finest and with only 100 models available you’ll want to be quick if you want to catch a case of hot pink fever.
"Ceramic is part of Hublot history, but it's a history that is still being written. We've never stopped innovating. It's in our DNA. From our first ceramic bezel in 2005 to the 100% ceramic cases – which we are currently the only company to master in such a wide array of colours. And that's just the beginning. We've got a lot more to come! " - Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot CEO.
Spirit of Big Bang: Sang Bleu Sapphire
A high-tech creation with tattoo-etched sapphire, this is the culmination of 8 years of collaboration between Hublot and Maxime Plescia-Buchi, maintaining the traditional design cues of the Spirit of Big Bang collection with the iconic Sang Bleu overlapping geometric shapes incised and chiselled into the transparent sapphire case it’s very unique, indeed.
The complexity of Maxime's polygonal tattooing required pushing the boundaries of machining sapphire, this innovative piece is practically as hard and scratch resistant as a diamond, and equally as beautiful. Maintaining the 42mm diameter and barrel shape of the original Spirit of Big Bang, this timepiece also offers perfect ergonomics for both feminine and masculine wrists. Impressive? We think so.
Powered by the HUB4700 skeletonised automatic chronograph movement with a 50 hour power reserve and Sang Bleu-style oscillating weight it’s the perfect fusion of technology and style if you ask us. Limited to just 100 pieces you’ll want to make your mark if you’re looking to add this one to your collection.
“Each model drives us to improve ourselves in a quest for both technical and aesthetic excellence. To machine sapphire into the demanding geometry of Sang Bleu’s polygonal tattooing meant that we once again had to push back our boundaries in the mastery of this iconic material. There is no longer any doubt that Hublot is the leader in making sapphire timepieces!”- Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot CEO.
Square Bang Unico
For those of you who want the best of durability and luxury, let us introduce you to the two new members of the Square Bang family. Expertly crafted with Magic Gold (the world’s first completely scratch-resistant 18ct gold alloy) with the UNICO 2 manufacture self-winding chronograph flyback movement at its beating heart, these beauties are as lustrous as they are practical.
Originally made from titanium, in response to the demands of its discerning fans, two new versions of the Square Bang Unico in Magic Gold have been released, marking a new chapter in the piece's evolution. Maintaining its unique and innovative design with a solid square shape and rounded corners, accentuated by six Big Bang screws. It also features an intricate skeleton dial with embellished lugs on both sides of the case, as well as a versatile ‘One Click’ bracelet that can be easily interchanged. Who said you couldn’t have it all?
But the showstopper is undoubtedly its bezel. Watchmakers often prioritise a delicate bezel for protection, but the Square Bang takes a bold new approach. The bezel is large and prominent, creating a striking contrast to the solid Magic Gold case serving as a showcase for the impressive Unico movement – impressed? Us included.
"Twelve years ago, Hublot invented scratch-resistant 18-karat gold and named it Magic Gold. This now needs no introduction. Today, it is part of Hublot's DNA. The Square Bang? Again, the same debate: no-one expected us to attempt this. But, of course, that's exactly what we did. And the Square Bang Magic Gold will now also become a key part of Hublot's history". - Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot CEO
Big Bang: Integrated Time Only 38mm
A core part of their collection, The Original Big Bang is back this year kitted out with all the iconic features you know and love including the solid dial, integrated bracelet, and signature features like the 'ears' on the case and H-shaped screws on the bezel. But something has changed, Hublot has upped the ante with six new models with a brand new 38mm case size –proving that when it comes to experimentation and style, they always go big...or in this case, smaller.
Equipped with the MHUB1115 self-winding movement and featuring a date window at 3 o’clock, an oscillating weight, and a Hublot design tungsten openwork rotor, this timepiece is truly a marvel. And if you’re looking for any more reasons to love this timepiece, with a power reserve of 48 hours and water resistance of 100m, it’s time to wave goodbye to late entrances we reckon.
"For the last 40 years, Hublot has shown itself to be unique and different. And that's what we do best. But, does that mean that's all we can do? Certainly not! The original Big Bang – the ultimate in simplicity and efficiency – is still eagerly sought after by all our customers. We have had a series of 40-mm models, and we're now offering six 38-mm variations. "Classic" is a word I never use for Hublot, but it's true in this case: The Big Bang Integrated Time Only is truly a classic!” - Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot CEO.

Outdoing themselves, yet again, this limited edition masterpiece combines creativity, technical prowess, and a touch of elegance in every precise tick. From the matte black dial with minute scale above the hour markers to its 90 hour power reserve Hublot knew exactly what they were doing with this timepiece.
